Richard D. Lovett

Richard D. Lovett, age 86, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born February 5, 1936, in Caldwell, son of the late Gerald Dean and Edna Pauline Craft Lovett. Richard retired from the Dana Corporation as a machine oiler and he was a member of the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of the Green Valley Church of Christ and the First Church of Christ, both of Caldwell. He loved bluegrass music, fishing, and working jigsaw puzzles. He never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ella Catherine Friley.

Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean Morland Lovett, whom he married December 17, 1955; his children, Diana L. (Curtis) Lamp of Dexter City and Gary L. (Jill) Lovett of Dover; three grandchildren, Rachel (Adam) Friley, Sarah (Clint) Muir, and Alex Lovett, all of Dover; two step-grandchildren, Julia Jean Lamp of Florida and Jesse D. (Jessica Rae) Lamp of Pennsylvania; three great-grandchildren, Emma Friley, Liam Muir, and Brynna Muir; and two step-great-grandchildren, Trinity Lamp and Faythe Lamp.
