Margaret Sue Hutchins Garvin
Margaret Sue Hutchins Garvin age 83, of Caldwell, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. She was born May 12, 1939 in Morgan County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Delbert L. and Ruth Louise Barnhart Hutchins.
She was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church in Caldwell. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim to listen to Bluegrass Music. She also enjoyed polka dancing. Sue was employed by Gillespie’s Drugs for over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers Edward, Frederick, and Virgil Hutchins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband James “Jim” D. Garvin whom she married August 15, 1958; sister-in-law Bonnie Hutchins of Waterford, Ohio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and Friday, December 2, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Coggins officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery south of Caldwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Sue’s honor to the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 537 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724.
