Jack A. Foreman

Jack A. Foreman, age 85, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Adams Lane Healthcare Center in Zanesville. He was born July 8, 1938, in Wadsworth, son of the late Cecil and Nina Omera Foreman. Jack was a graduate of Wadsworth High School and the University of Akron, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and was a veteran of the Marine Corps Reserve. He was the Noble County Engineer for 30 years and before that, he served as Medina County Engineer. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Jack was a private pilot who shared a club plane at the Noble County Airport. He loved building remote control model planes and was an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Matthew C. Foreman, who died in 1991; one grandson, Matthew C. Foreman, II, who died in 2021; and two brothers, Jim and Joe Foreman.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Anne Balind Foreman, whom he married in October, 1976; his children, Kimberly Jo Goodson of Wadsworth and Scott Alan (Joyce A.) Foreman of New Philadelphia; a daughter-in-law, Laura L. Calaway of Wadsworth; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
