Edward E. Hutchins

Edward E. Hutchins, age 68, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, July 28, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 28, 1956, in Caldwell, son of the late Warren G. and Madge E. King Hutchins. Ed was a 1975 graduate of Caldwell High School. Early in his life, he worked in deep coal mines and in uranium mines in Colorado. He was employed by R.C. Moore Door Plant in Caldwell from 1985-2009 and did carpentry work along with his brother, Charles. Ed attended the First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell. When he was younger, he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He enjoyed painting, classic rock and country music, and kayaking. He was a big-hearted and kind man and a wonderful brother.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Randall Hutchins, who died in 1961.

Surviving are his siblings, Janice E. (Ed) Ramage and Melita A. (David) Smart, all of Caldwell; and Charles C. Hutchins of Dudley; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was observed Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11 a.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial followed at Dudley Cemetery.
